Native Wildlife Centre

Brand Identity | Graphic Design
We were excited to create a portfolio project designing a full brand identity with supporting graphic design including a park map, promotional materials and merchandise for Native Wildlife Centre.

Native Wildlife Centre is a British wildlife park with a driving passion to spread awareness, celebrate and protect the wonderfully diverse native species in Britain.

In addition to showcasing the incredible animals at the park, Native Wildlife Centre are also strongly dedicated to conservation efforts. They offer hands-on conservation workshops for members of the public to educate and inform the public how everyone can help preserve British wildlife in easy and simple ways from their own homes.

With all of this in mind, it was important that the brand identity created a visual language that was a widely appealing, wonderful demonstration of everything that Native Wildlife Centre is so passionate about.

Key focus points

Whilst developing the brand identity, there were a few key focal areas that informed the design decisions made:
A flower with the stalk extending into a circle around a silhouette of the UK icon.
British
Wildlife and Nature
It was essential that the branding was deeply rooted in British wildlife and nature. This ensured that the new visual language effectively celebrated Britain’s wonderful species, and the work Native Wildlife Centre are doing for them.

Personal Connection
to Nature
Native Wildlife Centre places a strong emphasis on not only showcasing Britain’s native species, but inspiring visitors to pursue their own conservation efforts. We were sure to incorporate the idea of creating personal connections to nature into the brand.

Roots and Foundations
Finally, it was important that the roots and foundations of Native Wildlife Centre were respected and celebrated. Decisions were guided by the rich history of the Centre and ensured the visual identity was a strong representation of this.

The colour palette

The colour palette is a gentle celebration of the diverse and beautiful colours found in Britain’s nature, keeping the brand well grounded in nature and wildlife.

The darker tones create a strong sense of knowledge and trustworthiness reflective of Native Wildlife Centre’s relationship with native wildlife. The brighter tones add to a warm, inviting atmosphere that catches and holds the audiences’ eye.
