We created these illustrations for an upcoming medical publication by an international team of clinical researchers in strokes and carotid disease. They demonstrate where the carotid artery is located, and which areas are prone to clotting in relation to strokes.

When creating these illustrations it was important to ensure it was easy to read and understand with a clean style, whilst still being anatomically and medically accurate.
